Concrete Finisher Foreman

Reports To: Project Superintendent

‍POSITION SUMMARY

• Responsible for the supervision and training of crews for all required tasks included in highway and bridge construction.
• Supervise and perform related tasks preparing the surface, setting forms, placing wet concrete, and properly finishing the concrete as required by the project.
• Operating a variety of hand and power tools
• May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, prepare subgrade, fine grade, set and strip formwork, clean up rubble and debris and remove waste materials. Assist other craft workers with various other tasks as required.
• Maintaining compliance with company policies and accurately reports daily activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Properly use tools needed to finish wet cement, tools may include shovel,float, bull float, broom, rake, screed, etc.
• Fine grade fill to grades given by foreman.
• Assist in patching asphalt with hot and cold mix. Excavate and fills trenches and ditches.
• Assist in moving, placing, striping various formwork.
• Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
• Material handling and storage.
• Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.
• Accurately record and report daily activities including crew hours, daily production, materials used and project issues.
• Position is outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
